Lunch on the Thames to celebrate 20 years of Silversea

Silversea celebrated its 20th anniversary yesterday with a Gala lunch onboard Silver Cloud, the first ship in the fleet, which was moored at HMS Belfast on the River Thames in London.

To commemorate the occasion loyal guests and VIPs (Including our editor!) attend this special lunch held in association with Silversea’s culinary partner Relais & Châteaux which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. The menu, prepared by Relais & Châteaux Grand Chef and two-Michelin-star Executive Head Chef of Gidleigh Park in Devon, Michael Caines MBE, will include a Gazpacho Soup, Warm Salad of Native Lobster, Wild Dartmoor Beef Fillet & Cheek and a Raspberry Mousse.

Silversea’s partnership with Relais & Châteaux, an exclusive collection of 520 of the finest hotels and gourmet restaurants in more than 60 countries, is embedded across the fleet.

With the inclusion of the regal expedition ship Silver Explorer, Silver Galapagos and the latest ship Silver Discoverer, Silversea’s itineraries encompass all seven continents and feature worldwide luxury cruises to the Mediterranean, Caribbean, both Polar regions and over 400 fascinating destinations in between.
Throughout 2014 Silversea has launched a number of initiatives in celebration of the 20th anniversary including special trade incentives and consumer events.
