Sapphire sails into sparkling waters on new Adriatic Explorer cruise

Can there be a better way to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Med and Adriatic than sitting on the deck of Saga Sapphire, tucking in to a barbecued lunch with a cool drink to wash it down?
A chauffeur will take passengers from their home to Dover to start the new Adriatic Explorer cruise in style. With cases loaded straight on to the ship there will nothing for guests to do other than relax and get into the mood to be thoroughly spoiled by the friendly, professional crew.
Saga’s chic, 700-passenger Sapphire will also sparkle as it cruises along the coast of Sardinia and guests will be able stretch out on the sandy beaches and take a refreshing dip in the sea or wander through the maze of streets in the ancient capital of Cagliari.
This is a cruise which offers something for everyone; passengers can taste Oporto’s famous port wine alongside the beautiful River Douro, in Portugal, to trying a refreshing glass of ginger beer next to the cricket pitch on the Greek Island of Corfu –  just two of the legacies from 19th century British rule. The magical Moorish Alhambra is a ‘must’ excursion from Malaga or for those who want some retail therapy, Minorca offers pleasant shady squares, enticing pavement cafés and plenty of boutiques.

25 nights from £3964, departing on May 30, 2015
