MSC Cruises has announced a brand partnership with Italian childcare product manufacturer
Chicco.
The deal will see
MSC Cruises make a range of Chicco’s market-leading products – such as strollers,
bottle warmers and baby backpacks – available to families during their
voyages.
In addition, the
partners are collaborating on the development of Chicco-branded purpose-built
children areas on six ships* of the expanding MSC Cruises fleet – two of
MSC Cruises’ Lirica-class ships soon to undergo the ‘Renaissance’ programme of
lengthening and refurbishment, plus the four new-build vessels being
constructed by STX France and Fincantieri for delivery between 2017 and 2019.

Families with
youngsters will also receive a ‘Baby globetrotter’ guide – a printed pack full
of information about onboard services and mini-club activities, game ideas, children’s
menus and handy tips for family excursions specific to their ship’s itinerary.
Furthermore, the
Chicco Observatory, a developmental research lab focusing on the under threes, will
provide special training to MSC staff who will manage onboard childcare and
give advice to families, in order to enjoy a relaxed and entertaining family
cruise.
