The atmospheric town of Bamberg is sure to delight passengers, set among the Franconian hills in Bavaria, it is regarded as one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Germany.
In Würzburg, the impressive baroque Residenz Palace will impress before a visit to the historic market town of Miltenberg, where riesling wines are produced. 

Spend three full days on the beautiful Moselle River passing centuries-old castles and pretty houses around Cochem and Koblenz before arriving in Merzig, relaxed after more than three weeks on some of the loveliest, lazy rivers of Europe.
