Top Chefs To Flavour Seabourn's World Cruise

Calling all foodies! Here's a cruise idea to make even the most jaded palate sit up and take notice - a line-up of some of the best chefs in the world aboard ONE single cruise in the New Year with Seabourn.

The ultra-luxury line has just announced an exciting line-up of no less than four Michelin-starred chefs to host its popular ‘Culinary Conversations’ onboard Seabourn Sojourn’s 116-day world cruise, which departs Los Angeles on January 4 and includes Britain’s own two Michelin-starred chef, Andrew Fairlie.

As part of this popular series, these renowned chefs will not only conduct cooking demonstrations and supply signature touches for the ship’s menus, they will also join in the relaxed, casually elegant social ambience on board.

The programme of culinary talent includes:

Bernd Siener, Executive Chef at Marburger Esszimmer in Marburg, Germany, made his reputation at various venues in the town’s luxurious Vila Vita Rosenpark spa-resort. He will be aboard January 21-31.

Christian Lohse, Executive Chef at Fischers Fritz in Berlin, has garnered multiple Michelin stars and Gault-Millaut points throughout his career; also aboard January 21-31.

Heiko Antoniewicz, A “Magician of Molecular Cuisine”, made his reputation with the gourmet catering company Art Manger, and a restaurant by the same name; aboard February 9-17.

Andrew Fairlie, Executive Chef at his eponymous restaurant in the Gleneagles Hotel, the only two-Michelin star restaurant in Scotland; March 14-25.

These guest chefs are also only one portion of the stellar line-up of onboard enrichment and entertainment planned for guests. ‘Seabourn Conversations’ topics can be broken down into several categories. Explorers such as Dr. Lawrence Blair or mountaineer Paul Deegan, as well as historians, anthropologists and geographers will participate in ‘Culture & Destination Conversations’, while diplomacy, international relations, politics and economic affairs will be categorised as ‘Current Affairs & History Conversations’, and feature guests such as Ambassador Robert Smolik or Captain Peter Martin of the Royal Australian Marines. ‘Arts Conversations’ will include personalities such as stage and screen actress Penelope Ann Miller, singer/composer Patti Austin or satirical author Christopher Buckley.
